Cardo Architects takes sustainability seriously and is extremely critical about the design process and how it can contribute to achieving a more sustainable environment. Sustainability is about using existing resources in a manner that ensures that the future generations have abundance in the same manner that the current generations have. The three pillars of sustainability, which are Economy, Society and the Environment are all addressed in each design process.

Dr. Maroun Kassab was an organizer of a seminar series at Notre Dame University under the title: Building Green: Experiments and Expectations in March of 2019. This series addressed the logistics of green building design in Lebanon and brought together the main players under one roof. Professionals from all across Lebanon and Public and Private institutions came together to discuss the framework of Green Architecture in Lebanon in the 21st Century.
